Pinterest is finally rolling out its updated app design

Pinterest has officially announced the launch of its updated design. According to the company, the new updated look for both – Android and iOS devices will bring more functionalities to the app that includes a personalized recommendation to be at the forefront of the home feed.

Additionally, the new layout will reduce the clutter around each Pin for an enhanced focus. The size of the main Pin image will also be increased for better visibility – especially on the mobile devices and will be clearly separated with rounding edges to clearly define each part.

Pinterest has also moved the Search console, which will now be part of the main navigation bar and allow users to access personalized and trending searches by simply swiping their thumb. The Following tab is also moved and users can now find it at the top of the home feed.

The users can also save their recommended Pins at the top of the home feed for future projects with a single tap.

Lastly, Pinterest has introduced an improved Profile and Board view to make it easy for users to find the Pins they save.

The update is in correspondent with the social media network’s business profile format that was announced in September. The company is enhancing its platform for the corporate users that will allow them to showcase their products and services in a better light. The new business profile format will also include a ‘Shop’ tab.

The updated Pin format was first noticed by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong. However, the company has finally made the change official by issuing a statement.

The rollout for the updated Pinterest is in process and if you haven’t seen it yet on your app – you will within a few weeks!
