YouTube pays tribute to PewDiePie despite the complicated history

PewDiePie hits 100 million Subscribers

Recently, a creator of YouTube named PewDiePie just crossed the 100 million subscribers mark. This is a huge achievement for all the creators of YouTube and as for PewDiePie, he’s now the first individual creator to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube. If you think of this achievement a few years back an individual couldn't reach this amount of subscriber but if you see it now, PewDiePie just made it possible for the YouTube creators.

The fans of PewDiePie celebrated this achievement by giving him an additional amount of subscribers making his total at 100.1 million subscribers. If you compare this victory with other competitors, PewDiePie loses the race with Indian Music Channel T-Series being the first channel with 100 million subscribers. 5-minute crafts are the third channel with around 60 million subscribers.


This week, YouTube creator PewDiePie also shared a video of his marriage with a girlfriend who is also a YouTuber named Marzia Bisognin. The video of their marriage is the #2 trending video on YouTube.

Among all of this, YouTube surprises its users by paying a tribute to PewDiePie’s milestone achievement which the Pewds retweeted today. If you look at the history of YouTube with PewDiePie, it’s a very complicated one.

Back in 2017, PewDiePie was surrounded by controversies of paying men on Fiverr and using the n-word on a stream resulted in the cancellation of his YouTube Red show and Google removed him from Preferred advertising as well. So, PewDiePie surviving from the scandals and rising with 100 million subscribers is a milestone worth celebrating for the people of YouTube.
