Facebook is testing new layouts for posts with multiple images

Facebook is one of the largest social media platforms with millions of users from all over the world. Facebook is currently testing to make its posts with multiple images more unique to receive huge engagement and to make people interested. In 2016, Facebook added colored backgrounds for posts with texts, in 2017 Facebook tested a variety of colored texts and backgrounds for comments and last year the platform added 360 options for profile cover photos for its users.

There may be some new visual features launching soon on the social network and according to reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong, Facebook is now testing some new layout options for posts with multiple images and with this feature users will be able to choose different presentation styles for their posts. With this new feature, users are being enabled with a set of four different presentation style options for their single posts with multiple images.

The tools of this new feature seem pretty much easy to use which is one of the key features of Facebook. With this feature, People usually get bored of all the generic templates so this feature could provide new unique templates to users more quickly than ever.

Along with Facebook, Instagram will be rolling out some similar features too in the coming week along with its new Camera update. Instagram will be adding some new templates for story frames which could randomly generate templates whenever a user will tap the dice icon on the top of the screen. The new templates by Instagram offer some new ways to its users to engage with their audience with ‘Quote of the day’, ‘Quickdraw Challenge’ type of frames that users can fill in.

Bottom Line

Well, if you take a look at all the new upcoming features it might look weird that the platforms will be suggesting its users on how to make their profiles more representative. I mean are users that bad at representing their profiles that they need personalization suggestions from social media platforms? A variety of updates launched by Facebook seems that the platform is telling its users what they might want to share on the platform. But if these new features help users to generate more engagement on the platform then users should definitely do it. Although these generic templates after a while get boring but the platforms are also providing some other alternate options to boost engagements. These new updates are particularly relevant to brands who are always looking for new ways to engage with its audiences and if not sure what to post, these new prompts might at least help you start thinking of new ways. The templates can be an interesting addition to Instagram if the platform keeps on adding new templates every once in a while and the image layouts of Facebook surely have the potential to engage its audiences.
