Elon Musk’s Acquisition Of Twitter Made The App’s ‘Fake Account’ Issue Worse

The initial efforts set out by billionaire Elon Musk in terms of account verification using blue ticks did not go as planned. In fact, it was a huge disaster. But that did not stop Musk from pulling away from the idea.

In the past week, we saw Twitter enabling some of its users to pay out $8 a month to attain the blue-paid subscription. This would provide them with verification of being a Twitter Blue member. But total chaos and absolute disaster resulted in the end. This forced Musk to temporarily put the offering on hold and by this week’s end, we should be seeing it get back for others to avail.

Musk promised to introduce changes after brands and public figures raised their voice against countless impersonators springing up out of nowhere. It was almost like Twitter’s nightmare come to life and Musk knew this was not the start that he had hoped for.

For now, November 29 is the date to watch out for as that’s when Elon Musk will be reverting back to his Blue scheme.

So far, users have gotten a taste of what Musk is capable of and the damages that come with the matter. We saw impersonators posing as Apple, Trump, Kanye West, Nintendo, and more. And if that wasn’t enough, even Musk’s own company Tesla was being taken advantage of on the platform.

Huge names in the business world witnessed stocks fall to a new low. There were some pharm companies who had to send out statements to declare that whatever was being announced by them on the platform had zero truth to it.

Now, experts are calling Elon Musk out because they feel he really turns the whole platform into a bizarre and confusing show. And the biggest irony is how Musk feared Twitter had a lot of fake accounts, before his acquisition. But after his takeover and poor decision-making, the number of fake accounts has drastically increased and it’s beyond shocking.

There are so many people in this world who can’t help but mock the billionaire for doing what he is doing and making the platform worse than it used to be. And what was even more shocking is how he this morning mentioned that he didn’t wish to be the CEO of any firm. Hence, he is searching for someone that would look over its day-to-day workings because he can’t do it all.
