Telegram Launches An Array Of Thrilling Features Including Custom Notification Sounds, Bot Tools And More

Telegram seems to be on a roll ever since it incorporated an enhanced attachment menu and a download manager last month. However, if you think they’re stopping there, well, think again.

The app has recently launched a long list of exciting features as a part of its new update. And it’s already out for users around the world. This includes interesting notification sound choices, auto-delete options, and some very intriguing bot tools amongst other miscellaneous features.

Hence, we thought it would be exciting to break them down for you below! So let’s take a look.

Customized notification alerts are here to stay

As a part of its launch, Telegram is now giving its users the chance to get notification alerts that can be customized to their liking. Therefore, you can set up any sound you desire, be it a voice message or even a mini audio file to the Telegram chat. Simply tap on your selection and add it to the list of customized sound alerts. It’s as simple as that.

The great thing about this is how the new feature is acceptable on all platforms and comes without any cost but that doesn’t mean you won’t have to face some limitations.

The app announced recently how the customized sound alerts shouldn’t be more than five seconds and can’t exceed the 300KB limit. And just in case you can’t meet these requirements, try out the app’s sample features that can be found in the Sounds channel.

Mute notifications according to your preference

There’s nothing worse than being bombarded by constant alerts on chats that you may not be interested in at the moment. For this reason, Telegram has rolled out a new customized mute duration feature that lets you mute alerts for specific durations like 8 hours, two days, or perhaps three whole months.

Similarly, you can completely get rid of notifications related to a particular chat. And while you previously weren’t provided with support for disabling sound, the new update manages to cover that aspect too.

To use this, simply click on Notifications and then press Mute.

Profiles with auto-delete options

As per a blog post published by Telegram team, "Auto-Delete can be enabled in any chat to make a conversation more confidential or less cluttered. Now it takes fewer taps to enable and supports flexible timer settings – like 2 days, 3 weeks, 4 months, and more."

Telegram bots unite with JavaScript for new tools

As a part of the new update, Telegram bots are pairing up with Javascript where developers can benefit from great flexibility in its interface. And that means so many developers can make bots that end up replacing a website and even be customized to meet a particular theme.

To get started, developers can read through the app’s Bot API document for greater clarification and begin immediately.

Other miscellaneous support features

While the list mentioned above was already a treat for users, the app has also decided to provide support for a number of miscellaneous features. This includes forward message replies, enhanced translation on iPhones, faster configuration for bot admins, exciting animations, and fun emojis.
