Facebook has launched Instagram lite in 170 countries with lower bandwidth but now only for Android users that takes up just 2 MB

Facebook has announced great news for those Instagram lovers facing internet issues to access the photos and video sharing networking service. Many people due to poor internet cannot upload post their IGTV videos on Instagram. Facebook has officially announced Instagram lite for Android users which is fewer data and storage-intensive and will take only 2 MB space so if you have as many people complaint about low storage space in their mobile phones so they can simply download Instagram lite from the Play Store, this app will take less space from any other social media app. It will go live in 170 countries so Facebook is trying to curb the storage issues and users can enjoy the social media platform. This can bring a large audience to this platform because any person having internet issues and low storage space can install this app on their phone instead of having a large space social media app.

Instagram will be having all the features like bells and whistles around editing sharing and viewing pictures and IGTV videos. You can also add stickers and can create your own stories and view them and can explore the recommendation as you do it in the main app. This lite version will come with specific language support to be used in these countries. This app is basically developed to allow people from Asia, Africa, or Latin America where people mostly face internet issues due to older internet infrastructure as this app can run on even 2G networks. The director of product management at Facebook said that there is more need for this app in underdeveloped countries where there is more ratio of youngsters and who want to get connected with the whole world and get the information of education, sports and can make friends online. This could be a big market for Instagram lite.

So those people who have limited internet data needs not worry about their package is run out while using this service just like the traditional app which consume more data. However, these 170 countries do not represent the whole world but still, this launch is on its way. Other than TV and reels, Instagram lite is containing all the essential features of main Instagram app. Facebook is also trying to build Express Wi-Fi service to nearly 20 countries in Asia, Africa, and South America where there is more problem of internet.
