Samsung users that use Motion Photos in order to take pictures have complained that their data is being destroyed or corrupted because of the fact that the pictures are not being saved properly on Google Photos. This is a serious issue because of the fact that people might take lots of photos thinking that they are safe and secure on Google Photos only to find that they have lost all of that data and there might not be any way to get it back. Photos are a big part of what we use to preserve memories of important events as well as day to day life for the future, and finding out that pictures that you took which were dear to your heart have suddenly been deleted would be a rather gut wrenching thing for anyone to end up experiencing.
Google really needs to take care of this issue otherwise people will start to lose faith in their services. Problems like this are unfortunately quite common for a lot of Google services and apps, and while the things these apps can do are still useful enough to make people use them it’s fair to say that they still have a long way to go before they can be fully relied on.
