New Google Chrome Update May Spell the End for Some Native Apps

Most platforms and tools that you want to use through your smartphone have to be used through some kind of an app, and the fact of the matter is that until and unless you look into the various ways that these apps are going to work for you then this is going to be quite difficult since downloading and subsequently managing such a long list of apps is most certainly the kind of thing that is going to leave you with very little memory left over on your phone.

Google has been aware of the fact that users have to use native apps all of the time and this is why the latest update of Google Chrome is going to have a newly added NFC (Near Field Communications) framework that is going to make it so that tappable objects are going to become easier to interact with, thereby making it possible for you to book yourself a reservation or get more details about an exhibit that you are looking at directly through the Chrome browser, something that will simplify usage for a lot of people and also save you an enormous amount of space on your phone all in all.
"Web NFC allows a web app to read and write to NFC tags. This opens new use cases to the web, including providing information about museum exhibits, inventory management, providing information in a conference badge, and many others.", announced Chromium team in a blog post.
However, some would criticize this update because of the fact that it might be seen as anti competitive. Google is trying to make it so that as many users as possible use their own browser rather than installing and downloading other apps, and this will certainly contribute to the Google monopoly in a really big way. Tech monopolies are terrible because it makes it so that the company that owns a lot of services no longer has to innovate, but since this is an update that is going to make people’s lives easier it seems likely that it will not raise all that many eyebrows at present.
