Instagram is Finally Rolling Out the Group Story feature, more than 2 Months after its First Sighting!

If you haven’t been keeping up with widely-known social media App researcher Jane Manchun Wong, you are definitely missing out! Wong is often the first in line to break the news regarding a particular Facebook/Instagram feature, sometimes months before its actual release. Interestingly, it has happened again!

Firstly, let us discuss about the new Instagram feature. Twitter user and Blogger Vikki recently tweeted about the Facebook-owned media sharing service now letting users to create Group Stories.

According to the screenshot attached by Vikki, a user can create a group and add friends in it with whom they would like to work with on a specific story.

Although this feature came in as a huge surprise, some of us already received the scoop regarding it months ago. Yes, we are talking about when Jane Manchun Wong tweeted about Group Stories being in the testing phase back in October, exactly 67 days prior to its public roll out.

This is surely an impressive work on Wong’s part and it looks like from now on, many more people are going to turn to her in order to find about the developments in the world of social media.

As for the Group Stories feature, it can be a beneficial one and has opened the door to a lot of possibilities. According to Vikki, "Conferences, vacations, birthday parties, weddings and team building retreats are some ideas to have fun with Instagram Group Stories".
