However this is not too far in the future, with some stores in China already using and developing software and AI systems to improve the shopping experience, Chinese shops are now able to recognize the shopper as they enter using facial recognition, with RFID tags on the items, cameras scan the items and their face at the end of the shop to charge items to their account.

Hotels

Checking into your hotel is supposed to be an exciting and easy experience already, and in most cases it usually is, but with advancements in technology, and developments of AI systems hotels are working to make the users experience better, quicker and much easier. At some hotels around the world, facial recognition is being used to allow guests to check-in, enter their room and received a more personalized and efficient stay, with recommendations tailored to them. This advancement is only the first step with developers working on new concepts every day.

Another industry that is seeing advances in their technology is marketing and advertising, particularly on TV. Adverts are becoming more tailored as facial recognition can analyse facial expressions and share adverts which align with how we may be feeling.
