Facebook is Reportedly Working on a Strange Shopping-related Feature!

Facebook is undoubtedly the king of social media and will remain so for decades to come. In order to appease the advertisers and keep its user base engaged, the social media giant constantly works on new features. Some of these features are cool, while others are odd. Interestingly, the latest one falls into the latter category.

Renowned social media consultant Matt Navarra recently quoted a tweet of a user who posted a strange screenshot. In the said screenshot, it can be seen that when the user views a photo of a dress on Facebook, a number of suggestions for the similar dress from (possibly) the competitors and brands pop up as well.

This new feature isn’t available publicly so it is best to assume that it is still in the development phase. However, it can’t be denied that there are several concerns associated with it. Firstly, it is a clear indication towards the monetization of a user’s content. Secondly, it will be unfair to a particular brand or company if the users are being directed to their competitions' products and services through them.

Still, it can’t be denied that the mystery surrounding this feature makes it quite interesting. It can prove to be a big player when it comes to shopping ads or e-commerce on Facebook in general.

As of now, any additional details about the feature aren’t known. Stay tuned for any potential updates in this story.
