Study Reveals Favorite Apps of Youngsters That You Can Find On Almost All Phones

Developing an app is becoming one of the basic needs of the business nowadays, most of the companies are now preferring mobile-friendly websites because users are now shifting to mobile for browsing. While designing an app, most companies think about the utility of the app and this is the exact reason most of the users don’t use apps to get the services. One of the main reason is the space issue and the general interests of the user. Most users only have apps that they use on a day-to-day basis and while downloading an app they especially keep in mind if they have enough space to have another app on their phone.

To analyze the app choices and preferences of youngsters, a study was conducted by Reuters Institute that revealed the fact that most of the youngsters use social media apps for their daily dose of information, news, and entertainment. This is the main reason that everyone has all the major social media apps on their phone but the question is what about other digital news networks that provide authentic information and news? To make it easier to understand the study was conducted on twenty individual with the age ranging from 18 to 35 in London and New York. The study revealed that almost everyone had various search browsers on their phone including Google Chrome, Firefox, etc. and along with this almost everyone had email. Apart from these browsing and mail apps basic social media apps including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Snapchat were also present on all phones of the youngsters.

As long as the other apps including Netflix, YouTube, Uber, podcasts and other entertainment related apps were concerned, the results vary from person to person. However, situation was alarming for authentic news related apps like CNN, BBC, New York Times, Daily mail, Guardian and Wall Street Journal. It seems that most of the youngsters are relying for news on their social media accounts which means a lot of fake news. This is the reason it is easier to manipulate these users who are unaware of the ways most of the news channels and social media websites collaborate. Regardless of where they are getting their information, it is now imposing great responsibility on social media websites to form a way to authenticate the information before they publish it.
