“I am afraid of humans, not Artificial Intelligence”, says Google's Chief Decision Scientist

Cassie Kozyrkov, chief decision scientist of Google, shared her views on Artificial Intelligence's use, creation and Haman's responsibility at TheNextWeb 2019 conference in which she said that AI is just a tool while explaining her reason of why people should not afraid of AI, but the creators of AI.

Chief decision scientist, said in a talk that although automation is common nowadays, the history of human is the history of automation which was started when the first human picked up the rock and banged another rock. According to Kozyrkov, humans are tool making species.

In a talk “Automating Beyond Human Expression,” decision scientist argued that AI is a tool, yet it is better than human mind, but if this technology is perceived in such a way then it should be said that pens and papers are also better than human because they record everything reliably. Kozyrkov supported her statement that tool should be better than human, otherwise it would be get rid of our lives.


Google's decision officer believed that sci-fi movies is terrible distraction because of which people afraid of AI. She expressed her belief that movies have more fiction than science, despite viewers finding them teaching everything about robots they know.

In an event, the scientist who think that AI is built by humans because of their desires, talked about responsibility that it is a Human’s responsibility to use AI carefully, and that’s what afraid her of humans, not AI.
