The team at Clever Girls Collective, has released their infographic, they surveyed a thousand uber-savvy social influencers to find out how social media would impact their shopping and spending this holiday season. And the results are surprising: No single social channel wins out.

Women are 4X more likely to get beauty information from Pinterest than brand makeup sites.
94 percent spend more on food during the holidays.
43% spend more on alcoholic beverages.
Food blogs are still the number 1 for inspiration online.

Leverage Pinterest to capture the widest audience.
Offer coupons alongside recipes, food blogs, and via Pinterest.

Use Pinterest and Fashion Blogs to drive traffic to brand sites for the most effective program reach.
YouTube is fab for beauty tutorials, but activating Instagram influencers is just as important (if not more so).


We know that women turn to social media for fashion, beauty, and cooking inspiration. What’s new? Despite its growing popularity, Pinterest is only one piece of the puzzle — food and fashion blogs are still critical sources of information. Meanwhile, Instagram is already more popular than YouTube for beauty tips.
