Marketers Embrace AI: 85% Use Tools, 70% See Efficiency Gains, and 50% Save Over 5 Hours Weekly

CoSchedule surveyed more than 1,000 marketing professionals to find out how AI is shaping marketing roles and strategies. According to the State of AI in Marketing 2025 report, 85% of the marketing professionals are using AI tools, specifically for content creation or writing. It was also found that marketers who use AI tools are 25% more likely to be successful than marketers who do not use AI tools. 46.36% of marketers believe that using AI gives them a moderate competition advantage, while 28.24% think that it gives them a significant advantage in developing AI marketing strategies.

In 2024, 93% of marketers reported new AI features, with 41.65% saying most tools use AI. The biggest barriers that many marketers are facing in AI adoption in marketing are data privacy concerns (40.44%), lack of technical expertise (37.98%), and cost of implementation of AI tools (33.17%). The report also found that only 3.98% of the companies do not implement AI, while 39.4% of them are very much open to implementing it.

When it comes to trust in AI insights and content, 55% of the marketers are very trusting of AI. When they were asked what top benefits they have seen after adopting AI, the answers included increased efficiency (70.05%), scaling content output (55.05%), and cost reduction (43.46%). 66.5% of the marketers said that there was no change in their team size in the last 12 months, which shows that AI implementation is more about personal performance at work and not about the reduction of team size.

All in all, 83% of the respondents said that they experienced an increase in their productivity after adopting AI, and 50% of the marketers reported saving 5+ hours on average every week due to AI usage at work. 29.54% have seen significant improvement in the speed at which they could provide high-quality content due to AI tools. 85% of the respondents are also planning to increase their use of AI technologies and tools in the next 1-2 years. 60% of the marketing professionals are also planning to increase their investment in AI tools.
