Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is not happy with the reports about him blaming former COO Sheryl Sandberg for the company’s inclusivity program.
The Facebook owner made it very clear that those claims were false. He rejected them and praised her for her great efforts for the company. Zuckerberg highlighted how amazing of a job she did as COO and will always remain a legend in the world of tech. He similarly shared how much she taught him and that is something he’ll always be grateful for.
The post was shared in regards to a post from Business Insider that spoke about Sheryl raising Zuckerberg like a parent. However, it did not age well, pun intended. Therefore, he needed to clear the air after the bombshell claims linked to how the CEO chose to throw her under the bus during a meeting with new president-elect Donald Trump. The source added how Zuckerberg didn’t appreciate her thoughts on starting an inclusivity program.
The reply was published on Threads and it’s clear that Sandberg appreciated the kindness bestowed by Zuckerberg. Hence, she replied with a thank you and how great it was working with him at Meta and creating a business together. She also acknowledged how his friendship helped her get through some of life’s biggest hurdles and still continues today.
So far, no comments were made by Sandberg’s reps on the story nor did Zuckerberg’s reps have anything to say. However, Zuckerberg did choose this time to clear the air, once and for all. He shared more input on how he answered a query about the origin of the phrase, ‘bring your whole self to work’. On that, false narratives arose about him blaming Sandberg for things that he says he never could or did.
The quote is linked to Sandberg who pushed for women’s empowerment in the workforce and even went on to write a book surrounding that theme. The whole matter has to do with an article published by the NYT on Thursday that accused the Facebook owner of throwing Sandberg under the bus. During that meeting, Stephen Miller was present.
Zuckerberg gave assurances to Trump about not getting in his way when targeting DEI culture. As expected, that story met with a great deal of controversy and criticism. Right now, Zuckerberg has only one thing on his mind and that has to do with reshaping the firm as the new Trump administration arrives next week.
Facebook’s parent firm has gotten rid of fact-checkers and implemented Community Notes. Furthermore, it’s rolled back all plans for DEI programs and focused more on adding masculine energy inside the company.
As shared during the infamous Joe Rogan podcast, Meta’s CEO feels the corporate world tried long and hard to get away from masculine energy which he feels is healthy. While he isn’t against feminine energy, he did smirk and mention that masculine was needed just as much.
