DeepMind Co-Founder Says AI Personal Assistants Are the Way of the Future

AI might seem like the latest trend, but it has actually been around for far longer than many of us realize. AI personal assistants in particular have been a mainstay for smartphones for quite some time now, with Siri and Google Assistant being just two of the most prominent examples with all things having been considered and taken into account. In spite of the fact that this is the case, present day advancements in AI might take things to the next level.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that the co-founder of DeepMind, Mustafa Suleyman, certainly seems to think that AI personal assistants are the way of the future. DeepMind is one of the more notable companies in this space, and while he sold his company to Google back in 2014, he still has some useful opinions on where AI might be headed in the coming years.

He also has a new company named Inflection AI which has created a generative AI chatbot named Pi that is quite similar to ChatGPT with all things having been considered and taken into account. His vested interest here is hard to deny, but AI personal assistants have already seen a wide range of usage.

Further advancements could make them commonplace because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing people to get more work done faster. Decision making can be greatly streamlined thanks to the help of personal assistants that are powered by AI, and that is leading countless organizations to adopting and standardizing it.

Suleyman’s sentiments seem to be echoed by Bill Gates, who stated that AI will be the biggest tech innovation since the creation of the internet. The Microsoft founder has often offered prescient insights into the future of the tech industry, and the fact that he is backing Suleyman up here lends credence to the notion that AI will revolutionize things in a multitude of ways. According to Suleyman, the first major changes will hit search engines in the near future.
