Instagram May Start Sending Out Alerts Warning Against Phone Use While Driving

Phones have likely become a mainstay of the manner in which you have currently chosen to end up living your life, and this has come with its fair share of benefits as well as negative impacts. Everyone needs a smartphone to stay in touch with others as well as get work done, but our reliance on these devices can be dangerous because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up making us use them while driving.

It can be extremely dangerous to use your phone while driving a car since it can distract people from the road and cause accidents, and with all of that having been said and now out of the way it is important to note that Instagram is trying to play its part in mitigating these occurrences through a series of notifications that users are receiving. As per Alessandro Paluzzi, this notification includes a large warning symbol, along with the word warning itself, and it also tells users that they should always stay alert while behind the wheel of a vehicle.

This notification goes so far as to say that users shouldn’t check the app while they are driving, and that is definitely a step in the right direction with all things having been considered and taken into account. Most major tech companies are hesitant to recommend not using their services or products to users, even if it is a matter of personal health and safety. Hence, the fact that Instagram is doing this suggests that the company is trying to put people’s lives over its own profit.

A vast proportion of the accidents that occur daily on the open road are caused by people texting while driving or checking social media. This can be dangerous even if one is stuck in a traffic jam because you never know when the road might clear up and someone might crash into you because you started moving too slowly. More tech companies need to remind users that they should focus on driving instead of devoting their attention to anything else while doing so.
