Microsoft Said Windows 11 Would Have Faster Updates, Users Say That’s a Lie

When Microsoft released Windows 11 a short while ago, there were a lot of opinions that people had on it. The tech juggernaut has managed to claw its way back into relevance under the capable leadership of Satya Nadella after a period in which it was posited that their dominance was long going to end up becoming a thing of the past. Still, Windows needed to entice more users into downloading Windows 11, and they used a variety of ways to do that.

One of the most famous claims that Microsoft made while marketing Windows 11 was that it would give users the chance to download updates at a much faster rate. Windows updates are notorious for being very frustrating indeed, so much so that they can often result in work getting delayed among other things. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that Microsoft’s claims that Windows 11 will have faster update speeds don’t seem to be true.

Several users are starting to disparage Microsoft’s claims that Windows 11 will enable them to get updates over with at a faster pace than any previous version of the operating system was capable of offering. Many of these users are posting to social media sites like Reddit claiming that the upgrade to Windows 11 was not all that worthwhile since updates are still taking more or less as long as they used to with previous versions of the computer operating system.

However, it should also be noted that Windows 11 is still in its early stages. There is a strong likelihood that the faster updates will come about after the platform has been updated a few times. Later versions of Windows 11 could very will give users the faster update speeds that they are currently after, but this does not change the fact that Microsoft is currently failing to deliver on a promise that it said it would keep. That might make it difficult for the company to get more Windows 11 users in the near future.
