Microsoft’s Ad Service Now Reaches Over a Billion People

Advertising has pretty much always been one of the biggest ways for a large number of tech companies to obtain a reasonable and reliable level of revenue. They often leverage their large user bases and try to enable brands to implement targeted ads and the like because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing said brands to reach a larger number of willing buyers.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that Microsoft has now managed to reach over a billion people with its advertising services, as first reported by MediaPost. This comes from internal Microsoft data that was obtained by Comscore, and it indicates that despite being late to the party Microsoft is still managing to build a relatively successful advertising business on top of everything that it already owns across its other platforms and businesses.

One thing that might make Microsoft ads a great deal more valuable than ads on other platforms is that there is a great deal of overlap in its users. Microsoft users tend to use more than one Microsoft product, and this makes the chances that these users would make a purchase after seeing ads a lot higher with all things having been considered and taken into account. 64% of Windows users will check out Microsoft Ads at one point or another due to the reason that these ads often pertain to their specific goals and interests.

21% of Microsoft ad users tend to want products related to entrepreneurship and the like. 20% of them also appear to be the sort of people that are responsible for high level decisions at their organizations. All of this combines to make Microsoft one of the most valuable new players in the world of advertising especially after Apple made targeted ads more difficult for marketers and brands.
