Instagram widely rolls out its badges feature for creators to earn money through Live Videos

Instagram is a photo and video sharing social media app, which connects its creator and their followers in many interesting ways. Instagram parent company Meta has always shown keen interest in entertaining their users through interesting and cool upgrades.

But the tech giant not only thinks about its users and it also thinks about its creators too and recently the social network launched an earning method through IG live, i.e. badges for creators.

Previously, this feature was only available in the United States, however, as per SMT, creators in the U.K, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Australia, Turkey, Brazil, Japan and Mexico regions can also leverage the badges. Any creators from all above mentioned regions when goes live will see their badges automatically turned on, however users who aren’t willing to keep these badges or show them on their lives will have the option to turn them off as well.

Moving on, you must be thinking what this badge actually is? How can the creators earn from this? When Creators from above mentioned regions will come on Instagram live, they can use badges and any of their followers can purchase these badges in the range of 0.99$ to 4.99$.

Apparently both parties, a streamer and a commentator can take advantage of this, if a follower can buy this badge, they are not only helping their favorite streamer in terms of finance and also their streamer can notice them easily and acknowledge them more .

Now if we talk about how creator’s benefits from these badges, any money earned from this badge will be given to the creator after Instagram keeps their own minor percentage.

These badges appeared in the lower function bar from which users can purchase through just a single tap.

There are some rules for creators to avail this badge though. In order to get these badges, creators must be minimum 18 years old and must have creators or business accounts on the Instagram app. Moreover they should at least have 10k followers; they need to be comply with the platform rules and regulation and community guidelines

This is the latest Instagram effort to keep the spark alive for creators in the app. It will give more energy and enthusiasm to creators and encourage them to post the good and lively content on the app regularly and maintain their feed on the app.

Nowadays, every social media platform is battling with their competitors to keep the big name on their app. If someone leaves a social media platform, their competitors' apps will offer them more revenue potential. Hence it is the key element to grow any app.
