Consumers Prefer Environmentally Friendly Companies According To A New Report

Climate change is the single biggest threat that our collective way of life has ever ended up facing because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up making vast tracts of land unlivable for centuries to come. While this might just seem like the sort of thing that only environmentalists are ever going to end up worrying about, it should be noted that pretty much every single corporation should be concerned with it as well and not just because it can impact the planet moving forward.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that consumers often decide not to buy from a company if they feel that that company is not doing enough to keep climate change at bay. A report that was recently released by Exasol/TheDataDreamer has revealed that 86% of consumers changed their mind about buying from a certain company because they felt like it was not environmentally friendly enough, and this is the sort of thing that could have a catastrophic impact on the bottom line with all things having been considered and taken into account.

A lot of companies often use environmentally conscious language in order to appear more climate friendly than they actually are, but this is a trick that a lot of consumers are starting to see through pretty easily. 66% of consumers want data and other types of evidence before they can start to trust a company, and companies that fail to change their practices might just end up folding in just ten years.

This shows just how much the impending climate crisis weighs on the vast majority of people that are out there, many of whom are concerned about the future of their children if steps aren’t taken to reverse the damage that has already been done.
