Google’s SERP Gets Three Interesting New Features

A big part of Google’s plans in the past few years has involved helping users to make better searches because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing users to get the results that they are truly after rather than making do with whatever results their less than optimal searches end up bringing their way.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that there are three new features that have just gone live on Google’s SERP that will make this possible for a lot of users, with the first of these three features being a “Refine Your Search” suggestion feature. This will take a keyword from your search query and suggest some other search queries that could pertain to whatever it is that you are currently attempting to do.

The second of these three features is called “Broaden This Search”, and the way that it works is that it will give you slightly different search queries that could be relevant to your research. It’s fairly similar to the previous feature but it is also different in that it provides a broader overview of the topics that you are currently diving into.

Finally, we have the “Things to Consider” feature. What this essentially does is that it tells you about facets of your search query that you might want to take a deeper look into. For example, if you search for a house you will be told about ideal house sizes along with things like taking care of pets in a particular residence. All of these features will be great for maximizing the potential of Google’s search engine, and this is a rare example of a feature that does not solely benefit Google but might actually lead users to other sites that the search engine lists on its results page.
