New Chrome Update Improves Browser Gaming Experience

Gaming has been a new frontier for a lot of tech companies, and Google has been making a foray into this field as well. While a lot of its focus has been on Stadia, the tech giant has also been attempting to make it so that gaming through its Chrome Browser can end up becoming a great deal more desirable for a wide range of users too. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that the latest update of Chrome is going to incorporate features that will make browser gaming a lot easier with all things having been considered and taken into account.

The beta version of Chrome 94 includes something called WebCodecs because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up making it easier to take part in cloud gaming. Another thing to note is that it’s not just gamers who are going to benefit from this either. Quite on the contrary, Google is also focusing quite a bit on game developers in this regard which is important since it can help boost the industry in a lot of different ways as well.

WebGPU is another feature that is being incorporated into the next version of Chrome, and its main purpose is to provide an interface that game developers can use to create games that will use your computers processing power a lot more effectively. Both of these developments are going to be a pretty huge boon for gamers in general and it might just result in Chrome becoming an important gaming resource. This would be especially beneficial for gamers that don’t have a lot of money that they can invest into things like expensive gaming consoles and the like as they can simply play their favorite games through the Chrome browser.
