The Upcoming Android Version Will Provide A Similar Share Sheets for Most Apps, Third Party Apps Will Be Barred From Customizing The Original Share Sheets UI

Google is launching its Android 12 after a massive success of its Android 11 version. However, looks like the Android 12 is going to be different from Android 11 in a lot of aspects the biggest one among which is going to be the Android Share sheets.

Android Share sheets are pop ups that appear from below when a person wants to share any kind of information like images, documents, videos etc. from any application present on the Android phone. The Android share sheets UI on the Android 11 version and all before that were different from application to application and that was because Android prior to this did not have a consistent UI arrangement for pop ups of share sheets.

But what if users wanted a similar UI arrangement for all share sheets? In such cases many users used third party applications that allow users to have access to a similar share pop up on Android through bypassing the Android Share Sheet UI entirely.

However, looks like Android did not like users leveraging third party applications for bypassing their original share sheet UI and have heard the user demands for a consistent Android share sheet on all applications.

Therefore, the tech giant is launching Android 12 with consistent share sheets throughout all applications. Considering how the UI will be similar for applications, third party applications like Sharedr will not have access to bypass the Android spreadsheets anymore. According to a report from XDAdevelopers, when they tested Android 12, the system did not show an option for users to choose between third party apps like Sharedr or the Android Share sheet and the Android’s own spread sheet was opened by default.

From this we can understand that Google may not be allowing third party applications to intrude with the share sheets anymore.

Apart from this, some other changes were also discussed at the conference of the I/O annual developers According to the company, the new OS version will bring some new and refreshing changes to the new UI. The new version will provide users with new widgets with adjustable fonts and color pallets for users to customize their own interface along with the many other flexibilities. According to the tech giant, these change are because of the launch of the new design language called Material You, which is an upgrade from the older and current present version called Material Design.
