Israel-Palestinian ongoing conflict causing a continuous rise in human death toll

A few weeks back, brutal conflicts took place between Israel settlers and Palestinians when people of Palestine started protesting against them in Jerusalem. After days and days of protest, the violence has erupted which puts Palestinian people in serious danger. The past couple of weeks has been a moment of life and death for Palestinians as they face oppressors.

Even after several warnings, Israel continue to threat people of Palestine spreading terror all around in Gaza. Gaza has been a center of Israeli attacks since past few weeks. The heavy explosions in Gaza level down all the residential buildings that were the home of innocent people. Israel has started dropping heavy airstrikes in Gaza, targeting and destroying the Hanadi house, a Hamas-owned office and apartment building. One after another, the bombs and airstrikes are continued to drop by Israeli settlers.

With one shot of 130 missiles, the militant group has launched rockets at major Israeli cities like Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Beersheba, in what is believed to be the largest individual bombardment seen so far. While warning sirens thundered in the background, video shared on social media reveals Israeli Iron Dome missiles blocking several of the launched rockets.

Since Monday night when the spike in terrorism was seen, 35 more people have become target of the Israeli bombings and 5 people were reportedly have been killed in Israel. UN Middle East envoy Tor Wennesland stated that the rise in bombings and attacks is accelerating them to a major war. He further prompt the two forces to end the flames urgently. During all this terror, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has stated that this is just the start, on which Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh responded by saying that they are prepared if Israel wants to intensify the attacks even more. Tragically, this brutality and violence are really not unique in a war that has claimed the lives of thousands of people in just the last decade.

Since 2008, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has indeed been monitoring deaths between Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the data indicates that 5,600 Palestinians have died and 115,000 have been wounded. Over the same time span, 250 Israelis died and 5,600 were wounded. Back in 2014, Israel launched Operation Protective Edge in Gaza as a reaction to the murder of three teenagers, violence was at peak at that time. The seven-week campaign claimed the lives of over 2,000 people, the most of whom were Gazans. In 2018, massive clashes occurred along Israel's Gaza border, injuring more than 28,000 Palestinians. It was never so easy for Palestinian people to live their life peacefully. The threat is always on the edge.
