Google is working on a feature through which the people of India can get information about the COVID-19 vaccination, the availability of beds, and Oxygen

India is now suffering from a resurgence in cases of COVID-19 in its big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. According to different sources, almost 3,5754 people died due to this virus and almost 300,000 to 400,000 new cases came just in one day, this might be a very tough situation for India. Due to the increase in the number of cases, it becomes very difficult to find a bed or Oxygen in India as most hospitals are overloaded. In efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, the government of India has extended curfew across 9 districts and other major cities. Google has also been working on an update to provide authentic information to the people about the vaccination of the COVID-19 and its registration, the availability of beds, and Oxygen. This new feature will be much helpful for the people of India.

The search giant is also testing a feature to help the people of India to find the necessary resources during the pandemic situation, as India is at 2nd number in the world’s most populated country with more than a billion people living in that country with limited resources. Therefore, Google is also helping non-profit making organizations like GiveIndia, Charities Aid Foundation India, and United way of Mumbai raise funds to fight against this curse with over $4.6 million in aid. One of the major updates that Google has also provided to cope with this situation is the Google search, so when the researchers will ask the information of about the vaccine, they will get a variety of panels that will present the vaccine safety, efficacy, and side-effects, and the information about the registration.

Google will also provide the link to the government’s CoWIN portal, through which the people can get themselves registered for the COVID-19 vaccine. This is not it in the latest updates, Google will also provide information about the prevention, self-care, and the treatment for fatal infection under deterrence, and it will also provide the treatment tab when the users try to search for the information. Google also helped many people last year with the information about coronavirus test centers, now it is also encouraging the people through its platform for the vaccination against this disease.

Not only on its platform, but Google has also started providing information of its owned platform YouTube in a set of playlists, that is also giving authentic and credible information about the vaccine, and the facts from specialists on COVID-19 care, as these playlists can be accessed via YouTube Indian channel. Google has also extended its information about the vaccination centers in India from 2,500 to 23,000 centers, and this important information will be available through the department of the Ministry of Health and Family care. People can get this information in English and 8 different languages of the country.

As more Indians are searching for information about the COVID-19 vaccines, Google has announced that it is also working on a Q&A feature in Google maps that will surely help the people to get and share the information about the availability of beds and Oxygen in a specific location, however, Google has also mentioned that this information will be collected through different users, therefore, people need to verify such information because that can not be exact. Other websites like Twitter are also providing information regarding this pandemic in their microblogging site, Facebook has also created certain groups to help people get information about different resources like beds, and oxygen, etc. Google has recently made safety messages a major part of its vaccine campaign, and people can see these facts through the homepage of Google. It has further said that it will continue its efforts to cope with this disease.
