Forbes List for The Richest People In 2021, Who are the top Five and Which New Names Made it To The List This Year

There are so many billionaires in this world and Forbes makes sure that they get the recognition they deserve. Therefore, the Forbes company each year takes out a list of the billionaires that have emerged and existed in the past year.

This year the annual billionaires list which was issued by Forbes’s consist of 2,755 billionaires and considering how vast the world population is this is not really a huge number if you look at it in that way.

The top on the list and coming at number 1 for the fourth consecutive time as the top richest man in the world is none other than Jeff Bezos who is the founder of Amazon.

The second spot was secured by the Tesla owner Elon Musk who up until last year was 31st on the list after Tesla’s share price increased this year.

The chief executive of luxury goods firm LVMH, Bernard Arnault rounded third on the list and The owner of Microsoft Bill Gates and Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg landing on the fourth and fifth places respectively.

If you are active follower of Forbes billionaires list every year you may notice a name missing in the top five which is of Warren Buffet that is because the business tycoon and investor fell out of the top five list for the first time in over two decades.

Along with the same old names some new names also made the list with over 439 new names being found on the list. In which one of them was Whitney Wolfe Herd the chief executive of dating app Bumble, who became one of the youngest female billionaires after it went public this year.

The total billionaire worth of this year was combined to be 13.1 trillion dollars and the worth leveled up from 8 trillion dollars from last year.

The ranks and positions of the extremely wealthy people are only rising despite the pandemic which affected a lot of economies and lives of people with companies being affected and jobs being lost. On this the Forbes' Chief Content Officer Randall Lane, in an interview with Reuters Video News that the very, very rich got very, very richer.

Forbes has been giving the names of the top richest people in the world every year ad while there have been mostly common and same names of people every year the ranks are always changing up and down and while new people are also introduced on the list. Let’s see who makes it on the top next year.
