WhatsApp has rolled out a new ‘sticker search’ feature for both Android and iOS users

Whatsapp Messenger is one of the most used messaging apps out there. Even though the app did face its fair share of backlash from the public everywhere in the world at the beginning of 2021, the app is still widely used among people. It is an app that allows users to connect with others via messages, voice messages, voice and video calls, by sharing documents, location, images and what not. Whatsapp was launched in February of 2009 and was later bought by Facebook in 2014 for a total of $16 billion.

Every app does face some sort of weak point that makes it go through a huge amount of public backlash. The one which Whatsapp faced at the beginning of this year has made the app be very precautious of whatever they do and the features that they decide to develop and also release. Since then Whatsapp has been seen to take baby steps with their new updates and also with informing their users about it.

Whatsapp earlier allowed its users to only search for emojis and GIFs but recently the social media platform took to Twitter to announce that they will be releasing a new feature that will allow the users to search for specific stickers. Through this sticker search feature, it will become easy for the users to send someone exactly what they want to depending on their conversation. For users to be able to search for customized stickers on the app, the sticker search feature is available for both Android and IOS users globally. Whatsapp when announcing about this feature mentioned that there are stickers available even for ‘Need to say I love you?’ and ‘Need to say I know?’ This is very cool feature from Whatsapp’s part because no matter what any conversation can be made more fun and delightful by the addition of stickers in it.

At the beginning of this month Whatsapp also announced a new feature related to stickers which were that the users now have the option to import their animated stickers’ packs from third party sources! The feature was announced by Whatsapp’s tracking website ‘WABetainfo’, this feature is also released for both Android and IOS users.

Through both of these features that the Facebook owned social media platform has released for their users, one thing is for sure that Whatsapp is trying its level best to make up for the huge public backlash that they faced at the beginning of this year. The backlash made Whatsapp lose many of their users to Whatsapp’s rival app Telegram who is also seen to be releasing many cool features these days.
