A new sophisticated malware acts as a system update for Android devices which can take complete control of victim’s device

The data of the Android users are at risk now because of a new sophisticated malware that acts like a system update that can steal complete data of users according to security researchers at Zimperium. Android is holding the largest share of the market in terms of the mobile operating system, but the one main thing which is the back draw of Android is its open-source nature which creates more chance of malware into the device, as the new sophisticated malware is making its round on the internet and it looks like a system update which makes it very hard for Android user to find this malware and you can’t even find it on Play Store, users will most probably install it as the new update but, consequently will lose all their data.

Researchers at a mobile security firm Zimperium say that users became the victim of this malicious update when they install a new app from unknown sources into their device, the malware communicated with the operator’s Firebase server, which used to control the Android device. This malware is able to steal the personal messages, contact details, other details of device, browsers bookmarks, your history which you searched, and it can even record your calls, it can make the ambient sound your from microphone and can take the pictures from the camera of the device, this malware can also search the current location of the victim and its document files and it is able to grab the copied data from the clipboard.

Zimperium CEO Shridhar Mittal said that by looking at the activities of this malware, it looks like this malware took a lot of time and effort to make such kind of malicious activity which is harder to find. There is only one way to protect yourself from this malicious malware is to never side-load any app on your Android device which lacks security. You must keep in mind one thing that never ever install any app from the third party or unknown source as this malware will find its way to get into your device and will steal all your data. If you want to download any app simply download it from Google Play Store.

According to security researchers, there is a number of malicious apps like this and they are trying their best to find those too as soon as possible. Tricking someone to install the malicious app is simple and most people get attracted to such apps and ultimately they are ready to install such apps from an unknown source. Therefore, researchers warns the Android users not to install any app from an unknown source.
