Soon features like mute videos before sharing and Read Later will be available on WhatsApp

Soon WhatsApp would launch a new feature that could be used to mute videos before uploading it on the status and sending it to a contact. For Android users, this feature is in its development process of initial stages whereas for iPhone users this new feature would soon be available for them in near future. A new feature which is named Read Later is present in the WhatsApp version of iPhone. This allows its user to have a better version of the feature of existing Archived Chats.

Based on the WhatsApp features tracker WABetalinfo report the version 2.20.207.2 beta of WhatsApp for Android had a feature which can mute the videos before a user upload it as a status or send it to other contacts.

From the screenshot which was earlier posted by WABetalnfo user would be capable of muting a video before sharing it by simply tapping on the speaker icon that is located next to file size and duration details to edit the video.

The company says that the new feature still needs some modification and is under development and this update is so far not available even for beta testing. But soon in near future, it is expected that this update will be available for Android users.

In another report from WABetalnfo says that the company is not only working on the feature to mute the videos but also on replacing the existing Archive Chats by Read Later feature. WhatsApp version 2.20.130.16 beta for iPhone said to have this new feature in the future.

According to the screenshot uploaded by WABetalnfo tells about the Feature of Read Later that will allow its user to archive unwanted chats and due to this option users will not be receiving any notifications regarding those chats. The company will also provide an Edit Button that could unarchive multiple chats at the same time. To use this feature user will have to tap on the Edit button which led to an option of the Edit Archive setting where the user can make changes on the working of Archived Chats.

Read Later feature along with mute video feature are in development stages and will soon be available for WhatsApp users shortly whereas the new Vacation Mode feature is also in development stages but is not yet available for the public.

The FAQ option in WhatsApp is renaming as Help Centre based on the WABetalnfo report. WhatsApp version 2.20.207.3 beta for Android appeared to acquire this change.

It was noticed last month that WhatsApp is launching in-app support for users to directly file reports about bugs. The company is observed working on testing features like biometric locks and join missed calls that will soon be available for users in the future.
