Xbox Head Says Console Gaming Still a Priority Despite Cloud Gaming

The world keeps changing at a pace that a lot of people struggle to keep up with, and sometimes this change occurs so quickly that you might just end up feeling older than you actually are. A good example of this can be seen with gamers who were once at the forefront of technology with all kinds of companies offering cutting edge products for them but now different forms of gaming are being offered such as Cloud Gaming and this is starting to make a lot of traditional console gamers feel a little left out.

With all of that having been said and out of the way, it is important to note that the Head of Xbox at Microsoft, Phil Spencer, has reassured gamers by telling them that consoles are still a priority for Microsoft. Xbox users often rely on their Game Pass to get access to top notch games, so it is understandable that they might be concerned about their money going to waste. It turns out that the latest version of the Xbox console is probably not going to be the last, since the Head of Xbox is saying that consoles are still important to the industry and that even though cloud gaming is a new focus for Microsoft it does not change the fact that console gaming is one of the best experiences that any gamer could hope for.

While the concerns of gamers have been assuaged for the time being, this obviously doesn’t mean that the problem is just suddenly going to go away. Cloud gaming is an exciting new field, and there is a general trend away from bulky hardware that can’t be stopped. It is highly possible that consoles are going to become obsolete in the next ten years since cloud computing has the potential to be far superior.
