Snapchat Rolls Out Previously Exclusive Features to All Users

For quite some time now, verified creators on Snapchat have had a whole host of features that regular users might not have been able to access for a wide variety of reasons. One of the most pertinent features that verified creators got was the chance to create a personalized public profile. This is something that you might already be able to see in a lot of social media apps. It is essentially a profile that allows you to present yourself in the world, something that Instagram and Facebook have been doing for quite some time now.

The thing is, Snapchat is having a lot of trouble growing. While that app has managed to hold its own against Facebook’s growing social media monopoly, it’s fair to say that its growth has been stopped to a certain extent due to the reason that Facebook has appropriated a lot of its features. What’s more is that Facebook has developed these features as well and arguably made them better. As a result of the fact that this is the case, Instagram Stories might just be a little bit more popular than Snapchat and it may even be considered the definitive version of this feature.

Hence, Snapchat rolling out public profiles does make sense. Lens Studio and Highlights will be provided under the actual bio that people would be putting up. All in all it looks fairly similar to Instagram’s layout but it has Snapchat’s unique twists. The truth of the situation is that Snapchat does have quite a few loyalists all of whom are eager to stick with the social media platform. This sort of thing is definitely going to make the various snap-fans that are out there become even more adamant about sticking with the app, and it is highly likely that it would convert a few other people who might not have initially been interested as well.
