Google Meet Gets New Shortcut

In this new day and age, with the pandemic currently making it impossible for a lot of people to go out, it turns out that video conferencing has become the next big thing in a lot of ways when it comes to the various ways in which people might just end up utilizing technology on a day to day basis. Google has been trying to push Google Meet more than ever before, and a big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that the company knows that focusing on video conferencing could help make a lot of things much easier all in all.

In order to make it easier for people to end up accessing a meeting that they might want to take part in, Google has created a new shortcut. This shortcut is meet.new, and if you type it into your address bar you would be taken to the same page that you would have been taken to if you had clicked on the button that is available on Gmail. This will make it a lot easier for people to start meetings and the like, something that would make it far more likely that they might end up using this feature as much as possible in the future.

This is the latest member of Gsuite that is getting a shortcut like this. Google is clearly focusing on efficiency and accessibility and this is something that is going to make a lot of people quite excited for the direction that these features might be headed in. It will also be interesting to see how ease of use and accessibility might be optimized in the near future using a wide variety of other techniques as Google is known for being quite innovative in this regard, so a lot of users are going to be quite eager to see where things go from here.
