Since the coronavirus pandemic hit the world, everything seems to have changed. The world is now in the process of producing some ‘new norms’ for better functionality and to carry on their duties and responsibilities.

Due to the lockdown and social distancing implementations, working from home is one of these new norms of our society now. It is new for many people as waking up in the morning and going to offices used to be a regular routine for most people all around the globe.

Due to this new trend and its benefits, recently Twitter, Facebook, and some other tech companies have even announced that if their employees desire to work from home even after the pandemic is over, they will allow that for them.

Since it is still a new thing for many people, a team from Bannersnack has put together some tips and tricks to stay productive while working from home.

According to them, three things are needed for successful remote working:
  1. A well-structured, well planned day to achieve the optimal effects and carry out all the necessary tasks on time.
  2. Self-imposed deadlines to not become a victim of procrastination.
  3. Small breaks between your tasks to refuel your energy levels.
Choosing a favorite working spot is very important for your productivity and efficacy. Make sure that your spot has enough natural light and has something to keep you inspired while working from home.

It is also important to stay focused and take care of all the distracting factors that may hamper your work from home.

Cold Turkey, Proud from Apple Store, and RescueTime, are some of the important tools that can increase your productivity.

Zoom, G Suite, and Slack are some important apps for team collaboration and meeting purposes.

By checking the calendar, marking important dates and events, writing down all your tasks, and setting your work hours are also imperative to structure your day according to all your tasks and duties.

You must work on your communication skills to improve the productivity of your work. It is good to respond quickly to important emails and messages.

When you are planning a call/video call meeting, make sure that there are no distractions like TV or phone noise around. Also, have a meeting agenda prepared ahead and have someone to conduct the meeting.

Lunch break is extremely important for your physical and mental well-being. So, do not skip your lunch, and do not keep working while having your lunch.
