Facebook To Add Dedicated Business Inbox In The Messenger App

By now, Facebook has pretty much understood that post coronavirus, E-commerce is the way forward for majority of the businesses. Therefore, catching up with the trend well before time, Facebook is about to add a dedicated business inbox section in the Messenger App which will bring in more ease for business owners who previously wished to interact with their customers directly via Messenger.

This is a vital addition to the list of features that Facebook is constantly working on to improve the business-consumer interaction on the platform. The social media giant has already announced that the business inbox will come out as a part of the larger update of the Messanger app while ensuring that all of the local establishments take advantage of it.

Prior to this, Facebook started off releasing features for the business community during COVID-19 with the “Support Small Business” sticker on Instagram. Yes, the same sticker that now allows you to tag your favorite business pages in any of your Stories.

With that Instagram also highlighted that during the pandemic, the company will try its best to show some of the highlights of the posts in a dedicated Story which will also appear at the top of everyone’s feed.

For the similar effort, Facebook users also had the option to use the hashtag #SupportSmallBusiness in order to tag restaurants, retailers, and other local businesses.

Other sources also suggest that Facebook will soon add in-app resources to Facebook and Instagram which will give owners the access to information regarding small loans, Facebook grants, and the small gift cards.
