Apple Is All Ready To Make Face Masks For Doctors Around US

Dear Apple fans in medicine, were you wishing to wear a face shield made by Apple (especially after when Xiaomi launched it)? Well, while this might be a wish of some patients out there as well, Apple is bringing your desire, and of course, the current necessity to life with the recent announcement of producing 1 million face shields for medical workers per week.

By doing so, the company aims to play its part in this on-going fight with COVID-19.

Tim Cook made the decision public via Twitter and said that Apple has also managed to source over 20 million masks, all through their supply chains. The initiative has been launched company-wide and therefore right from engineers, designers to operational and packaging teams, every department is working with suppliers to produce and provide masks to medical workers on time.

Furthermore, while spilling more details regarding the production of thees masks, Tim has told that 100 of their masks can be packed and delivered in a box and it takes two minutes to assemble them.

Apple has its targets set to make the face shields deliver to places where the medical assistants need them the most. And to successfully identify all such places, the company is also closely working with medical professionals and experts.

The first shipment has already been made to Kaiser hospital facilities in Santa Clara and doctors seem to have loved them a lot.

Apple’s first round of 1 million face shields will be shipped to the required areas by the end of this week and they will donate approximately 10 million masks to the medical community, all around the United States.
