YouTube Rolls Out New Analytics and Ad Controls for Creators

Being a creator on YouTube can be one of the best jobs in the world, but the fact of the matter is that a lot of the time it’s not as easy as you would like it to be. The reason behind this is that when you look into being a creator you would realize that it’s about a lot more than the type of content you are creating. Building a following is all about understanding how YouTube works and attempting to use this to your advantage in a way that no one else would be able to compete with.

The problem here is that YouTube often doesn’t act in a very helpful manner towards the creators that undoubtedly end up making the platform what it is today, and this is a big part of the reason why people have started to heavily criticize YouTube saying that they are the ones that have made YouTube such a popular video streaming service and yet they don’t get the kind of help that they deserve, help that they often need in order to make it so that their venture remains viable in the future.

YouTube is well aware of the fact that a lot of creators are frustrated with the way that they end up doing things on a regular basis, and this is a big part of the reason why the platform is rolling out different options that are supposed to give you the chance to take more control over the kind of channel you are operating. There are two basic updates that are coming that are supposed to help creators, and both of these updates would come together to really improve the user experience for content creators on the platform.

The first of these two updates has to do with the mid roll ads that your video would have. You basically would now have more control over what ads would be played, and you would be able to choose your own ads to play in these areas as well giving you more control with the ads your content is associated with.

The second of these two updates has to do with analytics. The bell icon is an important part of people’s strategies to get more views on YouTube because it sends users (that select it) a notification whenever you upload. Now you will get analytics that tell you how many subscribers got the notification as well as how many clicked on it. You would also now be able to compare several different metrics at the same time which can be important if you want to acquire the right amount of information in this regard.
