Deep Fusion Feature by Apple: Take Amazing Low-Light Clicks with your iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro

Recently, Apple launched a new iOS 13.2 update for iPhone 6s and newer that brought with it amazing new updates for iPhone lovers. The updates included a dark mode, new emojis, improved Siri settings, and much more.

Deep Fusion is another update that came with the iOS 13.2 update; however, it is only available on iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro users.

What is Deep Fusion & How Does it Work?

Deep Fusion is Apple’s approach to improve the picture quality in low light. The feature operates on machine learning and takes eight images before pressing the shutter button.

After capturing these eight images, the iPhone captures a long exposure shot that contains in it the nine images with different contrasts. After capturing these images, iPhone stitches all these images pixels by pixel to create one well-exposed image.

With Deep Fusion, low light photography will become much simpler and improved considering what Facebook was offering before-hand.

Other iOS 13.2 Camera Updates

The iOS 13.2 update is not limited to Deep Fusion only. iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro users will also enjoy a new video photography update that allows the user to set video resolution from the camera app itself.

Although, these camera updates are an amazing new addition to the iPhone software; however, the updates are only limited to iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro users.

Apple is trying to improve their services like they have promised but it is yet to see how Deep Fusion will work against Google’s Night Sight feature.

The success of the new updates cannot be measured so fast, the time will tell if Apple is really excelling in the market or just copying the already introduced features in their phones as a revolutionary update.
