Twitter has Finally Started Testing a "Schedule Tweet" Feature!

In the current age, when there are more social networking platforms than we can count with the help of our fingers, it is important for such companies to keep working on their products/services and listening to their users’ demands. The key to remaining relevant is constantly evolving. Twitter has surely taken care of this fact and regularly tests and rolls out exciting features that can increase the consumers’ experience on the platform.

The latest feature that Twitter has been working on is for scheduling tweets directly from within the Twitter Web App. This feature has been requested by many users over the years and if all tests go on smoothly, we might soon get our wishes fulfilled.

Currently, scheduling tweets is only possible via Twitter’s Tweetdeck client or various other third-party clients. However, apps researcher Jane Manchun Wong recently spotted the social networking platform testing a scheduling feature right inside the web app.

According to the screenshot shared by Wong, the scheduling option should be visible once the user selects to post a tweet and the tweet window appears. The scheduling option should be located at the top portion of the window.

Although the feature has been requested by several users, its main use is for brands and companies that aim to send a promotional tweet at a specified time and date. As mentioned earlier, the option of scheduling has been available for quite some time now, but not from within the app but through separate tools.

Many users who do not feel comfortable accessing Tweetdeck to schedule tweets will benefit from the new feature (if rolled out successfully). As of now, there is no expected timeline for the feature’s general release. Stay tuned for further updates.
