WhatsApp will enable voice message previews in notifications for iOS users

WhatsApp is currently working on a new feature exclusively for iPhone users that will allow them to preview voice messages via the push notification console.

The popular messaging app already allows users to preview photos and videos in the notification and soon it will allow voice messages preview as well.

However, the company has not yet revealed when the update will be available for the users but a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo on Twitter revealed that developments are underway.

Although WhatsApp has not declared the timeframe for the roll out of this feature, the app tracker hints that it may be introduced along with other ‘anticipated’ updates in September including the Dark Mode. WhatsApp recently also added the preview of stickers feature for iOS users and will soon be adding more functionality.

It is also safe to say (and expect) that similar updates will be available for Android users in the future as well.
