'Tech & Society with Mark Zuckerberg': Facebook CEO makes his podcast debut

At the start of 2019, Mark Zuckerberg published a blog post where he announced his list of New Year’s resolution. Among his goals for 2019 was Zuckerberg’s aim to publicly tackle the scandals that he had faced in the previous years. He aimed to show the world that he was capable of handling the leading social network in the most efficient way possible.

Taking a step forward to fulfill his resolution, Zuckerberg today announced the launch of his new audio-based podcast on the official Facebook account on Twitter. The new podcast called the Tech & Society with Mark Zuckerberg released its first episode today where he talked to Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner regarding the impact of social media on journalism.

The discussion was telecasted on Zuckerberg’s Facebook page on April 1 but was re-uploaded as a podcast today.

The forthcoming episodes of the podcast also include a talk between the CEO Facebook and Harvard Law professor Jonathon Zittrain. The meeting between the two was held in February and contained discussion on the different technology policy and how they can regulate companies like Facebook.

Currently, podcasts are only accessible through Spotify. However, Facebook informed media outlets that users can expect to see new episodes every few weeks beyond Spotify.
