WordPress 5.0 Includes a New Content Editor

WordPress 5.0 introduces a flexible block-based content editorWordPress is one of the most popular ways to set up a website or blog, but for a long time it lagged behind its competitors in terms of the content editors it had. It seems like the latest version of WordPress will be handling this problem by creating a new block-based content editor that will give you a great deal of control over how your finished website looks. This follows a trend in recent times that has made the creation of a website a great deal easier than it was a decade or so ago.

Whereas back then only a professional web designer would have been able to make a good website, now all you need to do is know what you want and have the block based editor fill in all of the gaps. This is great news for web designers as well, because often clients will want you to change things up a bit after you have delivered the final product. With this new content editor, your clients will be able to do all of the minor changes on their own without having to bother you about it.

If you are using WordPress 5.0, it would be a good idea for you to look into its new default theme. This is the Twenty Nineteen theme. Reasonable aesthetics and decent functionality aside, the main function of this basic theme is to give you a sandbox to play with the new content editor in. All of this being said, there will be a lot of people out there that would prefer to use the old version of WordPress for a variety of reasons, such as a general comfort level with that version of the platform. They can simply opt to use the classic editor.
