Instagram Makes Stories Even Better for iOS

The Stories feature has become incredibly popular on Instagram, so much so that there are a number of users that don’t really think about uploading actual posts but instead focus only on the stories. This feature is going to get a cool update on iOS that is going to allow you to upload a bunch of pictures and videos all at once. It should be noted that Android users have already had this feature for a while now. Previously you had to upload things one at a time on the iOS version of the app, which was great for people that want to keep posting things that they are doing over the course of their day, but not so great for people that want to be able to post one big story at the end of the day that everyone can look at.

This new update, as noted by Matt Navarra on Twitter and confirmed by other users, is going to make the feature more accessible to other people, and is probably going to bump up usage rates. Facebook and Instagram have been heavily updating their stories features in order to boost usage numbers. They are ostensibly doing this in an attempt to undermine Snapchat’s popularity, although the app is still going strong as can be seen by the fact that it was the third most popular free app of the year in Apple's app store list, a couple of spaces above Facebook and just below Instagram.
