YouTube Expands In-App Video Sharing and Messaging to More Markets

YouTube said on June 10 that it is expanding its in-app video sharing and messaging feature to users in the United States and other global markets.

Available to users aged 18 and older, the feature allows people to share videos, send invitations, and react in real time directly within the YouTube app through a messaging icon. YouTube said the expansion is intended to give more users a way to connect over videos without leaving the platform.

The company said the rollout follows positive user response in countries where the feature is already available. YouTube added that its Community Guidelines apply to all shared content and messages.
