Meta Is Making The Most Of Twitter’s Downfall As It Prepares To Launch Its Own Version Of The App

Meta is on its way to developing a new app that is very similar in design and functioning to Twitter.

The news comes as the company opts to seize the opportunity and make the most of Twitter’s downfall, an insider revealed.

Ever since Elon Musk took charge, there have been countless changes. And not a lot of people appreciated them, that’s for sure. There has been a growing push toward taking some great initiatives for Meta to launch a new app that had the microblogging theme in mind.

The company says the new platform is surely going to make its core theme short-length updates that are majorly based on text.

The news comes to us thanks to Platformer who says Meta is working hard to make the platform and insiders have even outlined the name to be P92. In case you did not notice, the name is also similar to Twitter’s feed. Did we mention how it’s going to be decentralized as it aligns with its new push in the world of social media?

Meta says it is now working on exploring all of its options that can stand alone and work on a decentralized basis. It hopes to give its users plenty of text updates in this regard soon and it’s clearly going to be a major step.

From past experiences, Meta seems to be good at this app-launching game in terms of gathering enough attention to make people stop and stare in the world of social media.

This is definitely a major step for the social media company as it pushes for decentralization due to the fact that it managed to gather and control enough data from users and their relative experiences.

Meta says it is keen on latching on to new trends and this could certainly be a huge step in terms of the company’s approach to trying something new. And as far as who is the big name behind the approach. Well, it’s none other than the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri who seems to be leading the initiative.

The timing for this launch really does seem to be crucial and it comes when Twitter’s current leadership has forced so many users to search for alternative options because the app just is not doing it for them.

The great thing about decentralized social media networks has to do with an expansion of individual servers. This gives rise to different elements and various communities put ahead different rules. Similarly, it’s designed to make users better retain details without the disadvantage of taking all the data in and outlining what is allowed and what’s not allowed on the platform.

It certainly sounds great and we can see where this vision appears to be coming from but in all reality, it’s not as simple as it appears. In fact, it’s quite complex and that is what makes the whole process a little frustrating.

Apps like Mastodon are still facing great criticism as users require switching servers so they can follow others.
