WhatsApp is bringing captions for documents and polls for users

Meta-owned WhatsApp is working simultaneously on two future updates for its Android, iOS, and Web users. The first update will let users create a poll, and the second one will enable them to add captions while sending out a document.

According to WABetaInfo, the poll feature was initially announced for Android users a while back, and during its development stage, the developers have decided to loop in desktop users as well by adding more updated options for a better user experience. Sorting polls will be available in group chat. In a screenshot posted by the page, the poll generator will be able to sort the poll concerning their needs.

When the update was announced, the sorting option was not included, but now the user will be able to add options accordingly in whatever way they want them to be. Since the update is still in its beta stage and no official date has been announced by any official spokesperson, it can be expected that the feature will be rolled out in future updates.

On the other hand, the caption feature is also in its developing stage. Back in July 2022, WhatsApp announced that desktop users will soon be able to attach captions while sharing a document, just like they are allowed to do it while sending a picture, video, or GIF in a private or group conversation. Just like that, both Android and iOS users will also be able to get their hands on this feature.

Version 2.22.21.2 will make it easier for anyone to find a shared document by searching for the caption through the search text option. Currently, it is difficult to find a document that was shared a long time ago, but now the captions will make it easy for everyone.

Unfortunately, this feature is also under development and no data is currently available on when it’ll be released globally.

In a short period, WhatsApp has announced several future updates as well as improved the already existing ones, which shows that the company is continuously working to provide its users with the best and most user-friendly experience through its platform.
