Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover Is In Its Final Stages And Here’s What He Has In Store For Users

By now, we hope you’re well aware of the great Twitter shake-up and in case you’re not, well, let’s just say the world’s richest person just got richer by taking over the mega social network.

And since we’re just days away from the deal finalizing completely, it makes sense to see what is really in store for the app’s users in the future.

As the waiting game continues, it’s nice to see the Tesla owner slowly but surely unveil to the public what changes he plans on bringing in. And for starters, it’s relating to some pretty high expectations for user growth.

Musk says he expects the growth of users on the app to increase by a great majority and he claims to have the perfect reinvigoration plan in place. Think along the lines of growth crossing the 200% benchmark in just a three-year turnover. Moreover, he also mentioned how revenue was supposed to rise by 5 times more.

It wouldn’t be wrong to claim his optimism is beyond many people’s imagination as forecasts for this year and the next three don’t see that happening anytime soon. But again, we can expect the unexpected from a man like Elon Musk.

Remember, the billionaire may be seeing something that most of us are finding hard to visualize. And while it’s not too clear as of now, Musk did make the effort to unveil his Twitter plans at a recent conference called the ‘Future of the Car.

Firstly, he spoke about Twitter having a strong bias due to its position in San Francisco, adding how employees weren’t even aware of it.

Next, the Tesla CEO says he is very keen on making the app’s feed algorithm more open. Therefore, that means he is very interested to make changes based on user feedback.

And the final one is a true eye-opener, as he wants to reverse the ban on former US President Donald Trump. In case you’re wondering why, well, the Tesla and SpaceX owner says he doesn’t believe in permanent bans as they end up doing more harm than any good.

It’s no surprise to learn that the app has been working hard for years to try and get on board the bandwagon of enforcing its own regulations. However, the billionaire says that the app went overboard when it chose to ban the former President, adding how the ex-CEO agrees with the point.

Jack Dorsey did send out a Tweet in the past where he addressed the Trump issue. He also agreed with the mere fact that permanent bans are no solutions and usually do end up serving as failures for social network platforms like these.

But we must mention how Donald Trump says he is not interested in coming back- whether a ban is in place or not. Instead, he’s now focusing on creating his social network called Truth Social. And if that venture does turn out to be in his favor, the former commander in chief might be billing out plenty of cash.

It’s not easy to imagine that Trump is so happy about speaking to an audience that has been scaled down to such a severe extent. Remember, he had nearly 90 million fans across Twitter and that was a massive platform for him to engage with the audience.

Musk’s ideology of content moderation is very different than what many would expect. He wants there to be a short timeout period if something controversial or illegal has been mentioned. Any tweets like this must be eliminated but as far as a total ban, he’s not interested.

Keeping the former US President’s case aside, many are also looking for answers from Musk about Tweet censorship and what his thoughts on the app undergoing a ban in China are. And with the Tesla CEO having strong ties, let’s see if that makes any difference.

For now, we just need to wait and watch what will become of the platform during the coming stage because it’s not an easy task to understand what is going through Elon Musk’s mind. This includes how the billionaire wishes to triple the app’s user base in such a short span of time.
