The Shift In Digital Panorama: Intel Report Highlights New Security Insights

Today's digital world has evolved from hundreds of years of innovation. The digital landscape is vast, and there is hardly a business out there that is not a part of this system. It is safe to say as the digital panorama grows, so does the threat against it! Having become a vital part of a business's sustainability, these threats must be dealt with before significant damage. A study by Intel provides a brief insight into how the digital panorama is shifting and adapting to be more secure and business friendly.

It is no surprise that organizations are only willing to work with vendors who put digital security as their top priority in today's digital landscape. It is essential that these vendors are able to stay one step ahead of digital threats. The Intel report provides fascinating notes on the subject. Their recently published report states that companies value security modernization. The report also specifies that this innovation is being preferred at the hardware level. This provides the business with an extra layer of security.

Moreover, businesses are more likely to spend more when purchasing secure technology and services. According to the report, companies may pay a shocking 172 dollars in 2022. This will go towards improving and managing cybersecurity. As more companies become reliant on taking robust security measures, It is expected that the business' shift towards innovating cybersecurity will only increase in the upcoming months. These numbers are limited to security solutions that are hardware assisted. About 36% of respondents are already a part of the new hardware-based security system, while 47% will be considering and actively adopting these features in the next 6 to 12 months.

Intel also sponsored the Ponemon Institute to conduct an independent survey. Approximately 1406 individuals were a part of this survey to explore more information on hardware-based security systems. This independent review produced complimentary notes to that Intel's report. The study's key findings stated that about 64% of the respondent's companies are more leaned toward buying services that are high end and embed their hardware with security systems. The market is more open to success, as 53% said they updated their cybersecurity systems due to the pandemic. As of now, 36% of major organizations are already working with hardware-assisted security solutions. Eighty-five percent put updating their cybersystems on their priority lists. 64% say they prefer vendors when they offer both cloud and hardware-based security options. This review is localized to the USA.

Briefly discussing key findings, Intel also reports on Zero trust Strategies. This is a framework that asks every employee to be authenticated and authorized continuously before being granted access to the business's cloud. So far, 32% of organizations have adopted the Zero Trust strategy. According to Intel's report, the numbers for interest in this particular framework are increasing and are now locked in at 75%.

The digital landscape today, however sophisticated it may be, still requires a consistent framework and changes to seal off any vulnerabilities that are present in the system. Intel's report is a fantastic insight into how the digital world is blocking off any threats and protecting its business and consumer interests.
