Instagram Makes Intriguing Updates to Stories, Starts Working on Exclusive Subscriber Posts

Platforms like Instagram already have an absurdly high number of active users, and that means that their focus has shifted from expanding their user base to other areas. One thing that Instagram has been focusing on quite a bit as of late involves making its platform more suitable for content creators because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up bringing up engagement among users that have a passion for the content they create.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that Instagram is working on a new feature, as spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, that would be quite incredible for most content creators that currently have some kind of a presence on the platform. This feature will make it so that users that have subscribers can select a setting that would result in only these subscribers being able to look at the posts that have this option toggled on.

This feature is quite exciting since it can be used by content creators that are looking to offer exclusive content for paying subscribers and the like. Getting paid subscriptions is something that creators can do a lot more easily on most platforms that are out there, and being able to make posts that are only visible to subscribers could greatly incentivize content creators to utilize this as a resource that would be rather worthwhile for them.

That’s not the only update that Instagram is bringing to the table either. The social media platform has also changed its Stories feature by offering a new option which allows viewers to respond directly to the author of the story in question. Once again we can see how boosting engagement is a major priority for Instagram, and it will be exciting to see how many other engagement oriented updates the platform ends up incorporating. All of these updates are benefiting content creators who are being courted by platforms that so desperately want them to create posts that users would be interested by, and chances are that rivals like YouTube will start to take note and act accordingly.
